Subject:  Substitute Teaching

I would be interested in Substitute Teaching, Teacher Assistant, or volunteering.  I live in walking distance, and I have a BA Degree in Early Childhood Ed. from Rowan Univ. Glassboro, NJ.

I was volunteering at the Preschool Summer Camp at the Brighton School District Central Office, sponsored by the Brighton Recreation Dept.

I learned new ideas and Arts and Crafts Projects.

I really enjoyed working with the children.

Please Keep me in mind.

Thank-you.

                                        Sincerely,

                                       Bernice Regenstein

QUESTION: Could anyone recommend staff trainings on working students with special needs OR on alternative methods of classroom management?

Subject:  Maria Montessori quote
I just found this - I think it's lovely! “We cannot know the consequences of suppressing a child's spontaneity when he is just beginning to be active. We may even suffocate life itself. That humanity which is revealed in all its intellectual splendor during the sweet and tender age of childhood should be respected with a kind of religious veneration. It is like the sun which appears at dawn or a flower just beginning to bloom. Education cannot be effective unless it helps a child to open up himself to life.”

Welcome! This is a place where our teachers can express their views on the Montessori philosophy and other things related to teaching. I hope this will be a way for teachers and parents to connect.
